Loren Boyce is a graduate of the University of Tennessee where he
was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. He is also a graduate of Candler School of
Theology (Emory University) in Atlanta, Georgia and a lifetime minister of
youth and young adults. Loren has many years of audio/visual and technical
experience, from Hippolytus to Willow Creek” and opera to bluegrass. As a
classically trained tenor, he has spent the past few seasons trying to meld
music across the borders of worship in the attempt to find more than just a
“third way”.
Prior to his appointment to Father Dyer, Loren has served two
other churches in the Rocky Mountain Conference. Most recently, Loren has served the Rocky
Mountain Conference as the Associate Director of Connectional Ministries and as
Director of Communications Services.
In the upside down world in which many of us live, Loren spends
most of his days helping the Western United Methodist Church find ways to meet
people where they are (on the ball field, on their boards, on the trail, and on
the couch).
